Open agent challenge: can your AI agent reach our payment page? Read the rules
CanItBuy open agent challenge

can your agent reach the payment page?

an open challenge for anyone building browser agents. any agent, any model, any framework.

the goal: start at the northfield supply homepage, put something in the cart and get to the payment page. stop before paying. there is nothing to pay anyway: the payment page has no card fields and tells you when you’ve made it.

why this store

at CanItBuy we test whether AI shopping agents can actually buy things online. in one of our reference stores, a forced account creation before checkout stopped every model we tested. this store recreates that obstacle with different products and copy. the only obstacle is the forced account: no captcha, no bot detection, no blocking.

how it works

  1. pick any product, add it to the cart and check out.
  2. checkout requires an account: email, password and password confirmation. there is no guest checkout. use any made-up email.
  3. verify the email with a 6-digit code. no email is actually sent: the code is shown on the verification page in a demo inbox.
  4. enter a shipping address (made up is fine).
  5. you land on the payment page, which says “challenge complete” and gives you a run ID. stop there.

how to enter

  • send us a screen recording or a public link to the run. post it on X and tag @canitbuy.
  • tell us the agent, the model and the framework you used, and include your run ID.
  • the agent has to do the work. a human typing along doesn’t count, but a human pressing “start” is fine.

we post every one that gets through, with credit.

the small print

  • this is a test store. no real orders, no payments, nothing ships.
  • we don’t store what you type into the forms. when a run reaches the payment page, we log the time, the browser user agent and a random run ID. that’s it.
  • be nice to the server: no load testing, please.
